It can be updated in your profile at anytime. If an order has been already placed and your shipping address has changed, or if you mistakenly entered the wrong address, please contact us so we can manually reroute the order.
You will receive a Canada post or USPS tracking number by e-mail when the order is ready and in the possession of the shipping carrier. You will only receive the tracking number 3-4 weeks after you have submitted your order, as prior to that the garment will still be in production.
We can expedite orders if need be which will reduce the standard delivery times by 5-7 days. We cannot expedite orders any faster than this. To do so would compromise our workmanship and quality. Great suits take time to make. Contact us if you are in need of expediting an order.
All of our suits are wool-based. The majority of our suit fabrics are 100% wool, but some of our suit fabrics are wool-blends that have been blended with cashmere, silk, mohair, or microfibers. The vast majority of our shirt fabrics are 100% cotton but we do have a few cotton/polyester blends as well as our line of Stretch shirts with 97% cotton 3% Lycra (spandex) which happen to be our best sellers. Our Stretch line is highly recommended for those looking for a tighter fitting shirt.
The short answer is that our suits are half-canvas.
The long answer is that not all half canvas suits are canvassed the same amount. Depending on the manufacturer, the area that is canvassed on a half canvas suit varies. There is no strictly defined criteria as to what constitutes half canvas and what doesn't. Some manufacturers have half canvas suits that extends past the first button of a suit, and half canvas suits don't have canvas that reaches that far down. Some manufacturers have canvas that doesn't extend as far down on the jacket as other manufacturers in order to save on costs but still call it half canvas. The canvas on the front of SharpSense's suit jackets extends a fair bit lower than other half-canvas jackets which leads us to sometimes call our suits 3/4 canvas (superior to 1/2 canvas). However, no one really uses the term 3/4 canvas, and it would still be a relative term anyway. So if we were to group our suits into one of three categories (fused, half or full), we would call out suits half-canvassed even though our suits are superior and have more canvassing than most other half canvassed suits.
Generally speaking, we recommend avoiding fully fused canvas suits as the suits typically don't hold up well over time and fusing bubbles often form on the chest plate, which look quite ugly. A properly manufactured full canvas suit is typically superior to a half canvas suit, but it's also considerably more expensive. It's important to remember that even among fully canvassed suits, the quality of the canvas interlining can vary. Again some manufacturers rush or skip parts of the canvassing process of any full canvas suit in order to save time and especially money. In such cases a properly manufactured half-canvassed suit is often superior to a fully canvassed suit.
For the vast majority of people, we think a half canvas suit is generally the best bet as fully canvassed suits cost a fair bit more, take extra time to make, and are not all that much better than fully canvassed suits to begin with. SharpSense is not offering fully canvassed suits at this time.
All pricing is in Canadian dollars by default. However, Americans can elect to have the price represented in US Dollars instead. Please note that the price represented in USD is only an estimate based on the recent exchange rate and as such, is rarely 100% accurate. Furthermore, on checkout you will still be charged in Canadian funds, not US funds. The tool which represents the price in USD is only meant to be used as rough gauge to indicate the approximate price in USD based actual price in CAD.
Everything is done online -- we do not have a storefront. All as you need is a friend to help you take some measurements and it takes about 10 minutes.
After customizing your garment(s), when checking out you will be directed to the measurements page which has clear instructional videos on how to take your measurements. If you have not already created an account on our website, you will be prompted to do so first so we can save the measurements to your profile. Once your account has been created, you can access the measurements page with all the instructional videos here. Only once you have entered all the necessary measurements will you be able to check out. If you want to see our measurement process prior to selecting a garment, all you need to do is create an account here.
In order to be sure your measurements are correct, we use a predictive algorithm to see if any measurements may be off. We also use 3D body scanning software with the images you can elect to provide (or not to) to further ensure accuracy and ensure there are no discrepancies.
We're all about styling clothing to suit your tastes. If you already know what styles and customization you want, that's great. But if not, be sure to read the notes about the various styling & customization options we have available. Getting your correct measurements is important as well - grab a friend, take 10 minutes, and ensure you've followed the measuring instructions carefully as indicated in the videos so the clothing fits precisely the way you want it to.
Slim fit is a narrow and tight fit very popular among Italian designers which is becoming increasingly trendy. Standard fit is a relaxed semi-loose fit. Tailored fit is in between the two. If you're not sure what one to go with, we generally recommend tailored fit.
Once we have your measurements on file, our system creates a digital model of your body that our tailors use to hand-cut all of your suits, shirts, and casual wear. The next time you order, all you need to do is check out — but you're free to make any adjustments to your measurements if they have changed.
However, you will be free to style & customize your garments differently each time.
We utilize software that develops a 3D image of your body based on a variety of measurements. If you follow the instructional videos with a friend carefully, there's no reason why there should be any inaccuracies. If you'd prefer you're welcome to send us front, side and back photos of your body where we can then scan and pinpoint any inaccuracies.
No problem. We can send you up to 5 sample swatches with any suit and/or shirt fabrics you'd like. The charge is $3 CAD / sample. As long as you end up buying a suit, shirt, or blazer, any charges you've paid will be deducted from the purchase price when you checkout. You can order samples here
We believe you shouldn't have to settle for an ill-fitting off the rack suit. We believe in providing quality custom made suits, shirts & accessories that are designed precisly to your body specifications.
We can usually accommodate most special customization options, even if it's not listed on our website. Please contact us with what options you're looking for and we'll confirm ASAP if we can accommodate or not.
It's not necessary but it is recommended as it will allow us to use our 3D body scanning technology to pinpoint any minor inaccuracies (if there are any) when modeling your body frame based on dimensions you have entered. When sending us photos it's best if we have front, side and back photos of your body. You do not need to include your face in the photos.
All of our garments are individually hand-crafted and based precisely on your measurements. We never make the same garment twice. We guarantee our suits and shirts will fit you perfectly. For alterations, we offer you a credit of up to $100 CAD per 2-piece suit, $135 per 3-piece suit, and $35 per shirt, vest, or pair of pants. You can find out more about our Perfect Fit Guarantee here
To start, all garments are backed by our Perfect Fit Guarantee. That being said, there is always going to be some level of risk that the garment will not fit as intended. Getting customers a perfect fit consistently is one of the challenges in the industry, and all custom menswear companies experience 'ill-fitting' garments occasionally, regardless of whether it's done by the tailor in person or whether it's done at home with the help of a friend.
Some companies have proven to be more reliable than others when it comes to getting a good fit, and SharpSense is at the top of the pack. The reasons our fit is has been so reliable and so accurate is threefold:
1. We use an extensive measurement profile which comprises 24 separate data points regarding customer measurements (compared to other companies who use only 10-15 to save time).
2. We run all measurements through a predictive algorithm to see if any measurements may be off.
3. When customers submit their photos we run it through proprietary body scanning software to further ensure accuracy.
Basically, we take a VERY conservative approach when it comes to customer measurements so that there's practically no risk off the garment not fitting properly. The measurement process takes a bit longer and is a bit more cumbersome than it is with our competitors. However, the end result is a garment that fits properly the first time, without needing to get alterations.
In the unlikely event alterations need to be made to make your garment fit just right, we will offer you a credit towards any alterations. Please click here to view our shipping & return policy. You can reach our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org
